Two off-duty members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) were fatally shot on Wednesday night in a chilling incident that has reignited concerns about public safety and criminal boldness.

Victims Identified

The deceased officers are Constable Charles Stewart of the Spanish Town Police and Constable Jemarey Gordon of the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (CTOC). Both were reportedly at a business establishment near 83 Lane on Waltham Park Road when the attack occurred.

Timeline of the Attack

According to eyewitness reports, a lone gunman approached the officers around 8:00 p.m. and opened fire. The men were rushed to hospital but succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival.

The Major Investigation Division (MID) has launched a full-scale probe. Forensic teams examined the vehicle used to transport the victims, and high-ranking officers were seen canvassing the scene for evidence.
